Best Online Storage ? – pCloud

So what is PCloud?

PCloud is an online storage service similar to Dropbox, Google Drive, Box etc. they have different tiers to choose from which is the free tier, 500gb ( pay monthly, yearly or a one time payment so for life ) or 2tb ( pay monthly, yearly or a one time payment so for life ) so plenty of options to suit your needs.

The free version gives some some additional space for doing some steps like installing their mobile app etc. If you was to sign up to the free version you can get an additional 1gb by using my link here : pCloud Signup Page .

Why am I enjoying it?

The pricing structure alone makes it very appetising indeed. Regardless of budget you will be getting a bargain even if you buy a lifetime plan. Another thing is that the files you have synced with pCloud would no longer be stored on you PC meaning you are freeing up space on your device. You can make them available offline if you need to though.

Using the service is nice and easy and you can back up your data and images from: Dropbox, Facebook, Instagram, OneDrive, Google Drive too. You can also install their app on your phone and set it to automatically upload photos and videos as you take them.

The media features they have is pretty cool too with built in media players and audio playlist are just a few things the other providers don’t all offer.

Using pCloud to store your files means they are encrypted with 256-bit AES method of encrypting during and after transfer. In addition, upon transfer, pCloud also applies TLS/SSL channel protection. They also keep 5 copies on at least three server locations in a highly secure data storage center, monitored 24/7. 🙂 can’t complain with that right?

Also pCloud has a “rewind” feature in the free version you can go back up to 15 days to recover any accidentally deleted files. I think the paid for versions allow you to go back up to 30 days 🙂 .

In addition to their built in security they do have an add-on service called pCloud Crypto which adds an additional layer of security. pCloud Encryption – if you take a look at that link for more details.

If you was to compare pCloud to Google Drive this would win on pricing, storage, security and ease of use. It would’nt win for document editing though. Google Drive allows you to edit files online and save them where with pCloud you have to edit them locally and pCloud will sync with your other devices the changes you make. Not a deal breaker really because if you use their desktop app and open the file from they once you save it’ll be synced automatically.

Sign up and enjoy

So if you would like to give pCloud a try there is the free tier you can sign up for here : pCloud Signup Page . You and I will get an extra 1gb of storage for free 🙂 .

If you love it more and wish to sign up for the premium ( 500gb or more ) you can use this link pCloud Discount code and you should get 1 month for free and if after that you enjoy it pay monthly and I will get a little bit of money. Only a tiny amount so I won’t be retiring any time soon :).
